Amjad Sabri laid to rest in Karachi, thousands attend funeral

Thousands of fans, supporters and companions went to the memorial service supplications of Amjad Sabri, the famous qawwal who was shot dead without trying to hide in Liaquatabad here a day prior.

Sabri was let go in the Paposhnagar Graveyard, alongside his dad, qawwali maestro Ghulam Farid Sabri.

His namaz-i-janaza was held after Zuhr petitions at Furqania Masjid in Liaquatabad, which is likewise where the prestigious vocalist lived. Sorrowful bereaved people showered flower petals over a rescue vehicle conveying the pine box of Sabri to his habitation.
